Conceptually, this is the most interesting adventure of the module. There are a lot less ways pcs can go off script and cause headaches.

Unfortunately, it is so full of plot holes that it is also the weakest one. Ok so I'm preparing to run this for the first time tomorrow, hoping to run of the missions in the time we have. Yes, the brief was just a little challenging.

My experiences with running the adventures indicate that they generally take between 30 and 50 minutes to play through; there are a couple of adventures that may run short if the players are clever. I see it as a phlab topic for us to talk what has gone right and wrong within the adventure, the combat tactics we use, the embelishments we made, the props we use and so on.

Does that sound like a good plan? Now that I have run all the Tyranny of Dragons Tier scenarios I thought it was time whilst the memory of these was somewhat fresh to go through them and state what I liked and disliked.

I love call backs to the Phlan I knew from the Gold Box games. Some other threads with numerous questions, not from the main thread follow here. Strangely I have never run the undead mini mission in the 3 times of running this. While a couple of the missions are quite linear, others really allow the players to surprise the DM with their tactics.

I have only run this once and my pcs were in no way going to get lowered down into a dark area by themselves.

Please keep in mind these arnt for players tales unless one of your players broke open the scenario for you. I had a PC die in Encounters last night.

As a lead-in to a bigger adventure it can be interesting, but since that bigger adventure is nowhere to be found, it is all rather disappointing. From there, the missions diverge greatly in style and approach. Some of the adventures require a lot of role-playing, others require more traditional dungeon-crawling and combat skills.
